Carol Mae Bunnell

A much-loved mother, grandmother, and sister, Carol (Wyrick) Bunnell, age 74, passed away peacefully in her home October 7th, 2018 with her family present, after her brave and short fight with cancer. Carol was born June 27, 1944 in Pontiac, MI, the daughter of the late Milo and Josephine Wyrick, and had lived in South Haven, MI since 2003, formerly a lifelong resident of the Rochester Hills, MI area. Carol enjoyed spending time at her wooded home in South Haven, MI, where you could often find her on the deck with a glass of iced tea and a good book. She was an avid reader who loved immersing herself in the world of literature. When she wasn't reading, Carol enjoyed spending time in the kitchen as an excellent self-taught cook and baker. She loved nature and adventure and spent much of her younger years traveling, camping, and exploring the United States. Carol cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Nothing made her smile brighter than having a grandbaby on her lap. She also enjoyed shopping, movies, gardening, crafts, card games, and her many pets. Her life was spent doing what she loved to do. Surviving is her daughter, Kathleen Suzanne (Minnich) Goulet (husband Daniel Goulet); son, Colonel James (Jamie) Milo Minnich (wife Susan Minnich); granddaughter, Kayla Kristine Jo O'Guin (husband Christopher O'Guin); 3 grandsons, Kyle Steven McClure (wife Shelby McClure), David Robert Minnich (wife Kylie Minnich), Wayne Thomas Minnich; 2 great granddaughters, Claire Lee Minnich, Amelia Josephine O'Guin (due Feb. 7, 2019); 6 great grandsons, Konnor Steven McClure, Maxx Joseph McClure, Chase Thomas McClure, Bryce Aaron McClure, Lyric Tyler O'Guin, Evan Lee Minnich; 2 sisters, Shirley Jean Davis, Mary Lou Scherbing; 2 brothers, Harold George Wyrick (wife Sally Wyrick), Earl Frank Wyrick (wife Claudia Wyrick); and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Milo Earl Wyrick and Josephine Anne Wyrick, and sister, June Anne Darling. Family and friends are invited to gather for a celebration of her life on November 4th, 2018 at 1:00 in the afternoon.
