Jean Tucker

Jean passed away suddenly on September 25, 2025 at Bronson Hospital in South Haven, MI. She was born October 28, 1946, the daughter of: Basil Clinard and Ruth (Schnake) Clinard. She graduated from Michigan State. Jean was a beloved teacher in the Bangor schools up until retirement and is still fondly remembered by her students into adulthood. She married Ronald H. Tucker on October 5, 1991 and gained a family that loved and adored her. Jean was an active member at Simpson United Methodist church-always with her sewing sisters on Tuesdays and Thursdays, helping with rummage sales, funerals, blood drives and so many other events. She was there in a heartbeat. Jean was also dedicated to her work at the Bangor Historical Society Museum serving as the Vice President and past Secretary. Jean and Ron were both Charter Members. She was a friendly face to all who came through their doors. Jean had a love of lighthouses and she truly did shine a light in all our lives. Jean is survived by her brother, David Clinard of Maine, her three bonus children: Jeffrey and Wendy Tucker of Eau Claire, WI, Julie and Lowell Fermenich of Duluth, MN, Richard Tucker of Calhoun, TN, seven grandchildren: Samantha (Tony) Goodale of Lake Elmo, MN, Audrey (Aaron) Light of Duluth, MN, Hayley Fermenich of Duluth, MN, Jared (Desi) Fermenich of Superior, WI, Meghan (Marty) Chapinski of Duluth, MN, Abigail Fermenich of Duluth, MN and Alexa Fermenich of Duluth, MN, three great-grandchildren: Ryleigh, Estelle, and Oliver who knew her as JeJe, and her two dear nieces: Sarah Barlow of Freeport, ME and Rebekah Abbatemarco of Durham, ME. Jean will be greatly missed by all those who knew her. She blessed each one of us with priceless memories that will be cherished. There will be a memorial at Simpson United Methodist at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 25. 2025 followed by a luncheon. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to either Simpson United Methodist Church or the Bangor Historical Society.
