James J. "Birtch" Clark

James J. Clark “Birtch," age 58 of Grand Junction, passed away Sunday, November 28, 2021 at Borgess Hospital, Kalamazoo. Birtch was born August 28, 1963 in Allegan, the son of George and Florence (Goodrich) Clark and lived in the Grand Junction area the majority of his life. He was known as a stubborn SOB, loved his tractors, shooting skeet, chainsaws, hanging out in the corn crib and drinking beer. He loved his grandchildren. Surviving are his wife, Melissa “Blondie,” whom he married July 4, 1990; 2 children, Ashley (Tommy Hull) Clifton of South Haven, Zachary “Duck” (Alicia Aldana) Clark of Pullman; 4 grandchildren, Jeffery, Aubrey, Calli, Moxon; 4 sisters, Linda (Red Showers) Augustyniak of Allegan, Jill (Glen) Gibson of Grand Junction, Jo (Joe) Aernie of Langley, WA, Joy Clark of Ohio; brother, Jack (Barbara) Clark of Bloomingdale; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 baby children; and 2 brothers, George Clark and John Clark. The family will meet friends 4-6 PM Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at the Bloomingdale Chapel, D. L. Miller Funeral Home, where the funeral service with sharing of memories will be 6:00 PM. According to his wishes cremation will take place after the services.
