Richard A. Saye Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Richard A. Saye, age 88, of Gobles, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 13, 2022, at home with his family by his side. Richard was the son of Allen and Berneise Saye, born January 7, 1934, in Peoria, IL. Richard graduated from Gobles High School. After high school, he worked in the construction field most of his life working in the masonry and carpenter trades. He was a member the Michigan Laborers’ Union. After his retirement, his favorite things to do were golfing and fishing, he also enjoyed hunting and anything else that took him outdoors. He is survived by his four daughters, Katherine (Raymond) Durham of Gobles, Lou Ann (Glenn) Lutz of Sunfield, MI, Audra (Terry) York of Elkhart, IN and Mary (Brad) Swinehart of Gobles; 17 grandkids; 29 great grandkids; a sister, Josay Anne; his lifelong special friend, Joann Doxey, along with many friends. He will be missed by all who knew him. Richard was preceded in death by his daughter, Sarah Jane; his son, Raymond Allen; his grandson, Del Rose; a brother, Robert; and the mother of his children, Rena Saye. Following his wishes, cremation has taken place. A graveside service will take place at Robinson Cemetery in Bloomingdale Township on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at 11 AM, Pastor Gary Napp officiating.
