Hewitt, Robert S. Age 92 Bangor Passed away Monday, May 14, 2018 at home in Bangor surrounded by his children. Robert was born September 22, 1925 in Benton Harbor, the son of the late Freeman and Icylena Hewitt and had lived in the area since 1960. He had also spent around 10 years living in Florida. Robert honorably served his country as a member of the Army Air Force serving in WWII as a Staff Sergeant in the 400th Bomb Squad Surviving is his wife Clara; 5 children, Rita (Dwight) Goodrich, Karl (Ruth), Robert Jr, Michael, Teresa (Dan) Empson; 6 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; sister in law Donna Colegrove; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife first wife Jackie in 1999, 2 brothers, Leo and Blaine and a sister, Wilma Hewitt. The family will meet friends on Wednesday from 10 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM at Sacred Heart Church, Bangor, Fr. Dr. German Perez, Celebrant.
