Kenneth E. Johnson

Kenneth Eugene Johnson Age 57 Of Allegan transitioned Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Bronson South Haven Hospital. Kenneth was born September 24, 1965, in Geneva, New York, the son of Joe and Dasie (Stormer) Johnson Sr, and had lived in the Allegan/Bangor area the majority of his life. He graduated from Bangor High School in 1984, where he played football and was an active member of the band. He was a member at New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church serving as the Deacon and Maintenance under the leadership of Pastor Dwayne Johnson. Kenneth was a member of JW Hood 043 and former District Master of District 5 of the International Free & Accepted Modern Masons, Inc. He was a bridge builder with Milbocker and Sons, and worked many different construction jobs. He was also a member of the Local 525 Carpenter's Union. He loved snowmobiling and family get-togethers. He was a great mentor and caring person. He was very handy with his skills in construction and used his skills to help many up until the time his health declined. Surviving are his wife Debbee, whom he married, February 29, 1996; 2 daughters, LaQuita Johnson and Tanycka White; step-son, John Simmons II; 4 grandchildren, Ava Spear, Aubrey Johnson, Adein Kitt, and Armon Shackleford; 5 step grandchildren, Kayle Simmons, Kaleb Radke, Kourtney Radke, Blaine Michaels, Maci Michaels; 4 sisters, Dorothy Coates and Marilyn Johnson of Bangor, MI. Barbara Johnson of Otsego, MI. Suzanna (Rick) Day of Yuma, WA. 5 brothers, Joe (Duffy) Johnson Jr of Benton Harbor, MI. Dusty Johnson of Cleveland, OH. Carl (Sheila) Johnson of Muskegon, MI. Bernard (Terica) Johnson of Bangor, MI. Timothy (Angela) Johnson of Kalamazoo, MI. 2 uncles, Theodis Stormer of Bangor, MI. J.B. Stormer of Bedford, OH. 4 sisters-in-law; Melverna Blake, Leta Billman, Gayle Sodano, Vicki Lindley. 2 brothers-in-law; Mark Radke and Mike Radke; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and church family. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, brother Raymond Johnson, sister Cynthia Johnson, nephew Bobby Johnson, brother-in-law Willie Albert Coates, step-daughter Trude Radke, and step-son Dawan White.
