Larry Fragoules

Larry Fragoules, born February 22, 1954, of Bangor, Michigan, passed away on February 14, 2026, while in Naples, Florida, surrounded by his loving family. His passing came due to complications from his heroic battle against esophageal cancer. Though his life ended far too soon, it was a life lived with generosity, humor, and an uncommon openness of heart. Raised and rooted in Bangor, Larry spent his life contributing to the West Michigan community he loved. The son of George and Doris Fragoules, who preceded him in death, Larry grew up surrounded by a strong sense of family, a value he carried throughout his life. An entrepreneur at heart, Larry built a life defined by hard work and imagination. He owned and operated Clearbrook Water Conditioning and Harbor Toy Co., businesses through which he formed lasting relationships and quietly touched countless lives. Harbor Toy Co. especially reflected his spirit: joyful, welcoming, and always a little bit magical. Larry had a way of making everyone feel like a kid again. He was a loyal fan of Michigan State University athletics as well as the Detroit Tigers and Lions. He loved gardening, fishing, camping, and escaping to Disney World with his family, embracing the magic with the same enthusiasm he carried since childhood. Larry was, in the best way, a child at heart: playful, curious, and filled with wonder. Above all, Larry was caring. To know him was to feel supported and welcomed. Larry was a devoted father to his three children: Kim Natte (Jay), Adam Fragoules, and Eric Fragoules. He cherished and was endlessly proud of his grandsons, Jason and Andrew. He is also survived by his beloved sisters, Karen Acerra, Kathy Fragoules, and Denise Nordby (Jerry), as well as his many nieces and nephews who shared in his laughter, stories, and lifelong bonds. A celebration of Larry’s life will be held in an open-house format on March 15th, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at the American Legion of South Haven, Michigan. Family and friends are invited to stop by, share memories, and honor a man who made the world a brighter place. MSU or Lions attire is encouraged but not required. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages memorial contributions in his honor to the Al Van Humane Society of South Haven, Michigan. Larry will be deeply missed and forever remembered by the family and community he held so close.
