Teresa "Tina" Campbell

Teresa Campbell, age 68 of Bangor, MI, passed away Saturday February 8th 2025 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family. Tina, the name her family and friends all know her by, was a fun loving, hard working, caring person. She loved her family and friends and loved to spend time with them. She had a very outgoing, opinionated personality that made it hard for anyone that she met to forget her. Her early years consisted of motorcycles, playing cards, dancing, and just simply having fun. Tina had many jobs throughout her life. She began working for Bangor Public Schools in 1998; this is where she would be until retirement in 2021. She gained many wonderful friendships that turned into family during this time. Tina loved to do many things in life as she was willing to try just about anything. She enjoyed painting, traveling, crocheting, gardening, and just spending time with her friends and family. She loved to be involved with events and keep busy with doing activities and being around others, whether it was volunteering, selling her crocheted items at a fair, going to the senior center, or having lunch or tea/coffee with her church and retiree ladies. She was a standing member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She expressed her love and appreciation for all of her friends there who treated her like family. She attended the First Congregational Church in Bangor, MI. This is where she became a member and enjoyed fellowship and worship. If she couldn't make it to church she tried to enjoy online. Tina was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2018. The news was devastating for family and friends, but Tina always had a smile on her face reassuring everyone around her. This was the ongoing attitude throughout her 7 year battle with cancer. She continued to be the fiercest, most courageous, consistent fighter. She continued to smile her way through, laughing, aggressively but patiently handling every single battle with grace. She fought to the very end and will always be an inspiration for those who knew her to keep fighting. Teresa was born November 13th, 1956, in Salem, OH, the daughter of Harvey and Dorkis (Melott) Crawford and was raised in Rogers, OH by Jack and Dorkis Artrup. Surviving are her husband, Gregory Campbell whom she married December 31st, 1989; 2 children, Gyneeka (Anthony) Morgan, Courtney Smith; 5 grandchildren, Olivia Morgan, Anthony Morgan, Bryson Morgan, Chloe Smith, and Nala Smith; her fur babies, Cosmo and Gizmo; brothers and sisters, Carol Sue Schmidt, Wilma Dean McCullough, Michael Crawford, William Crawford and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorkis, Jack, and Harvey; brothers and sisters, Rex Crawford, Connie Mae Crawford, Jack Artrup, Robert Artrup, James Artrup, Joseph Artrup, Clara Sue Gamble, granddaughter, Arianna Morgan and her nephew, Jack Artrup. The family would like to sincerely thank all of Tina’s friends that were there in any way to support her. She loved each and every one of you and so does her family. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place and a family memorial will be held at a later time. 2 Corinthians 4:16-18: Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
